National Science Week 2026

Looking for a fun, free family day out? Join Greater Sydney Parklands for two exciting events this National Science Week!

Science Week Australian Dinosaur

Hands-on experiments, live science shows, wildlife encounters, robotics challenges and a life-sized roaming dinosaur – it’s all part of the FREE family fun at Greater Sydney Parklands’ National Science Week events.

Join us for Science in the Swamp at Centennial Park on Sunday 16 August and Science in the Scrub at Western Sydney Parklands on Sunday 23 August. Together, these two much-loved events are expected to attract around 18,000 visitors, bringing science, nature and discovery to life across Greater Sydney.
