Greater Sydney Parklands works on behalf of the NSW Government to manage and care for the iconic parklands of Sydney.
Our organisation
We were established under the NSW Greater Sydney Parklands Trust Act 2022. We are led by an independent board.
We seek to:
- be a steward and custodian for Greater Sydney’s most iconic urban parks
- maintain park infrastructure
- employ a team of experts to lead the management of the parks.
Our work
We work on behalf of the NSW Government to provide safe, accessible and inclusive parklands for the residents of and visitors to the Greater Sydney region. Our priorities are to provide inclusive programs and activities in a safe environment, accessible to all abilities, ages and ethnicities.
Our work balances the preservation of natural and cultural heritage with the needs of communities and local economies. We continuously assess our work so we can adapt to the changing context and environment.
