Dogs in Callan Park

Callan Park is one of the most dog-friendly parks in Sydney, with over 20 hectares now designated as off-leash.

These areas are identified in the Callan Park Companion Animals Management Plan developed to ensure the 38 hectares of Callan Park owned by Greater Sydney Parklands is shared safely by dog owners and non-dog owners alike.

Dogs must be always under effective control, whether in an on or off-leash area.

There are areas of Callan Park where dogs must be on a leash at all times and areas where they are prohibited altogether. These restrictions are in place to protect the natural environment and heritage assets and allow the park to be enjoyed safely by everyone.

The Callan Park Companion Animals Management Plan map displays the on and off-leash rules. Follow all signage and have an enjoyable visit to Callan Park.
