Weekend in Wistaria

Proudly presented by Greater Sydney Parklands

Roll out the picnic blanket and celebrate spring at Weekend in Wistaria, a free 2-day festival set among the spectacular blooms of Parramatta Park’s historic Wistaria Gardens.

Wander through wisteria, cherry blossoms, flowering fruit trees and colourful spring displays, with live music, family activities, nature experiences, community stalls and food throughout the weekend.

Highlights include:

  • Live music: Relax on the lawn with Highly ReStrung and roving brass trio Soul Street Brigade.
  • Roving entertainment: Look out for Moving Pictures’ floral tandem bike as it travels through the gardens.
  • Family activities: Enjoy Butterfly & Fairy children’s storytime, nature-inspired art, hands-on activities and a chill zone featuring music created with plants.
  • Explore the gardens: Wander through colourful spring displays, including this year’s peace and harmony planting theme.
  • Community stalls: Meet local community and nature groups, browse stalls offering products and information, and enjoy activities throughout the gardens.
  • Food and drink: Enjoy a selection of food and drinks for purchase or bring your own picnic.
  • Regency Promenade & Fair: On Sunday, take a short walk from the gardens to Old Government House to enjoy the Regency Promenade & Fair.
