Getting to the parklands

Centennial Parklands – made up of Centennial Park, Moore Park and Queens Park – is just minutes from Sydney’s city centre. You can get here by public transport, car, taxi or bicycle.

Public transport is often the easiest way to visit. 

Train: 

Bondi Junction Station is a 10-minute walk from the northern end of Centennial Park via Grafton Street and Oxford Street. 

Bus: 

Regular services stop along Oxford Street near the Paddington gates. These include routes 333, 340, 352, 355, 389 and 440. 

Light rail: 

Take the L2 Randwick Line to Royal Randwick for the southern end of Centennial Park, or to Moore Park for the Moore Park precinct. Services run frequently between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central from 5 am to 1 am daily.

Learner drivers are not permitted to drive in Centennial Parklands. This restriction helps improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists, animals and other visitors.

Travel tips:

• From the city or west: use Robertson Road or Randwick Gates.
• From the south or east: use Randwick, York Road, Woollahra Gates or Paddington Gates.

Centennial Parklands is bike-friendly, with shared paths and cycle lanes. The Oxford Street Cycleway runs alongside the Sydney Water reservoirs in Centennial Park. Bike racks are available near Centennial Homestead and the Learner's Cycleway.
