Barbecues

Centennial Parklands has 8 free electric barbecues, each with 2 hotplates. They are available on a They are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be booked.

How to use the barbecues

Barbecues operate on a first-come basis and cannot be booked.

Please clean the hotplates after use so they are ready for the next person.

Do not dump hot coals or light fires or fireworks. Fines apply.

Bringing your own barbecue

Portable barbecues with legs are permitted, provided they do not sit directly on the grass.

Portable barbecues are not permitted on total fire ban days. Check the NSW Fire Danger Ratings before you visit.

Playgrounds

Playgrounds are located across Centennial Park, Moore Park and Queens Park, including the Ian Potter Children’s WILD PLAY Garden. All playgrounds are near parking or public transport and are open from sunrise to sunset throughout the year.

Toilets

Public toilets, including accessible toilets, are located throughout Centennial Parklands. 

Accessibility

Accessible parking spaces are available throughout the parklands, and all permanent toilet facilities include an accessible toilet.

Bins and waste 

We aim to recycle as much waste as possible. Please place rubbish in the bins provided, following any recycling signage, or take it with you.

Dog access

Dogs are welcome in designated on-leash and off-leash areas. Keep your dog under effective control and always pick up and dispose of its waste.

Water stations

Water stations are located throughout the parklands for handwashing and refilling water bottles.

All water stations are supplied by Sydney Water rather than rainwater or river water. Outdoor stations are available 24 hours a day. Stations inside amenity blocks are available during park vehicle access hours.
