Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre offers private stabling in the heart of Sydney, with access to on-site riding facilities, the historic horse track and equestrian grounds in Centennial Park.

You can care for your horse yourself or arrange full-board or part-board services through an equine service provider based at the equestrian centre.

Stabling at the equestrian centre

The equestrian centre has 135 stables available for private hire, with different options to suit your horse’s size and stabling needs.

Stabling options include:

  • Platinum stables
  • Premium stables
  • Clydesdale stables
  • overnight casual stabling, subject to availability.


Feed rooms, private tack rooms and float parking may also be available with your stable booking.

What’s included

When you stable your horse at the centre, you can access the equestrian centre’s riding facilities as well as the horse track and equestrian grounds in Centennial Park.

Facilities include:

  • indoor and outdoor riding arenas
  • covered lunge yard
  • horse track
  • equestrian grounds
  • wash bays and other horse-care facilities.


Some facilities require bookings or have specific conditions of use.


Horse care and equine services

You can care for your horse yourself or arrange additional support from independent equine service providers operating at the centre.

Services may include full-board or part-board horse care and other equine services.


Fees and charges

Stabling fees vary depending on the type of stable you choose and your horse’s requirements.

Additional charges may apply for services including feed rooms, private tack rooms and float parking.

A refundable security bond equivalent to one month’s rent applies to bookings.

How much does it cost to stable my horse at the equestrian centre?

Stabling fees vary depending on your horse's size and the type of stable you choose. View the current fees and charges.
 
Feed, bedding and livery services are charged separately and are the owner's responsibility.

Can I get someone else to feed and muck out my horse if I can't make it?

Yes, on-site agistment providers offer full board services or can tailor a care package to suit your needs.  

Where can I ride if I stable my horse at the equestrian centre?

You will have access to all 3 arenas and the lunge yard in the equestrian centre, as well as the equestrian grounds and horse track in Centennial Park. 
 
The  lunge yard must be booked in advance.

What if my friend wants to ride my horse?

Your friend may ride your horse if they have approval from the equestrian centre and complete the required approval process. 

This includes: 

  • a participant nomination application
  • photo identification
  • public liability insurance with at least $20 million cover
  • acknowledgement of the code of conduct. 
Can I give a lesson on my horse?

No. Only riding school instructors and approved Independent Instructors may provide lessons at the equestrian centre.

Can my coach instruct me at the equestrian centre or Equestrian Grounds?

Your coach may only instruct at the equestrian centre or Equestrian Grounds if they are an approved independent instructor or work for one of the on-site riding schools.

Can I let a friend use my stable while my horse is having a spell?

No. Stables cannot be sublet. If your friend needs stabling, they should contact the equestrian centre office.

Is there anything I need to do if I am taking my horse on a spell?

Yes. You must notify the equestrian centre before your horse leaves the site and complete the required forms.  

When your horse returns, you must complete an animal health declaration form. 

I’m interested in working with horses, can I apply for work?
