New stable bookings

Stable booking form

Use this form for all new stable bookings at Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre.

You’ll need to specify the type of membership required and your anticipated length of stay. You’ll also need to provide:

  • a completed Code of Conduct acknowledgement
  • a Declaration of Animal Health
  • a current Tetanus and Strangles Vaccination Certificate issued by a veterinary surgeon within the past 12 months
  • evidence of appropriate public liability and third-party property insurance, or current
  • Equestrian Australia membership.

Complete this form before your horse enters Centennial Parklands, including the Equestrian Centre and Centennial Park.

The form must be completed by the horse owner, who should be familiar with the disease status of the property the horse has come from. Depending on where the horse has come from, a veterinary inspection may also be required.

Notification of absence or spelling

Use this form if you intend to temporarily remove or spell your horse but want to retain your stable, tack room or feed room while your horse is away.

Submit the form to the equestrian centre office before your horse leaves the centre.

Changes and cancellations

Booking amendment form

Use this form to request a change to an existing booking.

Only the client who holds the booking can submit a Booking Amendment Form.

If you want to cancel a stable, use the Stable Cancellation Form instead.

Application for modification

Use this form to request a physical modification to an area you hire at the equestrian centre, including your stable, tack room or feed room.

Only the client who holds the booking can submit an application.

Equestrian Centre management will aim to respond within 72 hours, although some requests may take up to 14 days. Some modifications may need to be carried out by the equestrian centre's nominated service provider.

Stable or booking cancellation

Use this form to cancel an existing stable or booking.

Submit the form at least 14 days before the date you want the booking to end. If you later wish to return to the equestrian centre, you’ll need to complete a new booking and a stable will be allocated subject to availability.

Riders and participation

Code of Conduct acknowledgement

All participants and nominated riders or horse handlers must read the equestrian centre's Code of Conductand Regulations and complete the acknowledgement form before taking part in any equine-related activity at the centre or in Centennial Park.

If you are nominated by more than one participant with a stable booking, you’ll need to submit a separate acknowledgement and supporting documentation for each nomination. Approval from equestrian centre management is required before you take part in equine-related activities.

Independent instructors

Independent Instructor Permit

Qualified horse-riding instructors must hold an Independent Instructor Permit to teach clients at the equestrian centre, on the horse track or within the equestrian grounds.

Before operating as an independent instructor, you must submit the application form with the required documentation and passport photo. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.

All approved independent instructors must comply with the equestrian centre's Independent Instructor Policy.

All permit types are available on an annual basis, valid from 1 July to 30 June.
