Work is continuing to transform Callan Park’s waterfront into a space that caters to the diverse needs of the community.
The second stage of works is currently underway with the construction of a new amenities block with accessible toilet, along with new native plants, refreshed garden beds and new benches.
The reimagined waterfront aims to provide spaces for passive recreation, picnics, play, exercise and relaxation, with the goal of opening the expanded green space for community enjoyment in the coming year.
The design is based on stories that reflect the original shape of the shoreline and reinforce First Nations connections to country.
