This course focuses on creating inclusive, supportive outdoor learning environments that cater to a variety of neurodivergence and sensory processing needs, including ADHD, ASD, anxiety, and behavioural concerns.

What you will learn:

  • Establishing routines and schedules for inclusive engagement: Discover how to create consistent routines and schedules that encourage all children to engage in meaningful outdoor play and learning.
  • Creating a conducive outdoor environment: Learn how to adapt outdoor spaces to be more accessible and welcoming for children with a range of needs, ensuring every child can participate and succeed.
  • The educator’s role in collaborative goal achievement: Understand your role as an educator in supporting children’s individual needs and how to work collaboratively to achieve goals that promote inclusivity and success outdoors.

While this course addresses a broad spectrum of needs, including neurodivergent behaviours, we can tailor content to meet the specific requirements of your group. If your focus includes children with mobility challenges or higher needs, please contact us to discuss how we can collaborate and adapt the course to best support your group.

Our experienced facilitators bring a wealth of knowledge and practical experience in supporting children with diverse needs in outdoor environments.
