Venue details

The purpose-built outdoor event space at Lizard Log is suitable for small to medium-sized public and private events such as community fairs, trade shows, outdoor cinema and large corporate events. We use the venue for our annual Science in the Scrub event for National Science Week each August.

The venue includes the Pavilion building which includes a kitchenette, toilets, large shaded deck area, and 3 phase power. The Amphitheatre is a large grassed oval ringed by trees with a capacity for 5,000 and its own power supply.

Location

Lizard Log is located in the Abbotsbury area of Western Sydney Parklands in the Fairfield LGA.

Entrance to the amphitheatre and pavilion is via the main entrance to Lizard Log on the corner of Cowpasture Road and The Horsley Drive.

Event applications

To apply to hold your event at this venue, complete the online application form.

Applications must be submitted as early as possible, no later than 12 weeks for large events (generally those over 1,000 people), and 6 weeks for small events (generally those under 1,000 people).

We will conduct an internal assessment based on the information provided and will contact you to offer advice, seek further information or arrange a meeting. If it is decided to progress an event proposal beyond initial assessment, a more detailed proposal may be required. 

Major events

We encourage all parties interested in hosting an outdoor event of scale in the park to consult the NSW Event Starter Guide before submitting a proposal.
