How do explorers find their way in nature — and what treasures are waiting to be discovered along the track?

In this hands-on adventure, children become nature navigators – learning how to use maps, landmarks and their senses to journey through the bush. Along the way, they’ll search for wildlife, collect natural treasures and create their own treasure maps for friends to follow.

Program highlights:

  • An introduction to navigation and mapping skills, including compass work, BOLTS and mud mapping
  • Meet the park’s inhabitants and collect natural treasures along the way
  • Make your own ephemeral treasure map – X marks the spot, can your friends find the hidden treasure?

This program is suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years.

Please note: Our programs are primarily child-led nature play experiences. Whilst we have planned themes, children co-create the program each day and may not engage in scheduled activities.
