Tree works and power outage at Callan Park

Greater Sydney Parklands advises that electricity network maintenance and associated tree works will be undertaken at Callan Park on Friday 18 September 2026 between 7 am and 4 pm.

These works are required to maintain safe clearance distances around the high voltage electricity network and will involve a temporary power outage along the affected route within Callan Park.

Tree pruning will be limited to light vegetation management to achieve required network clearances. No primary branches or major limbs will be removed.

The works will be carried out by Ausgrid's authorised tree contractor, Active Tree Services, across both NSW Health-managed land and Greater Sydney Parklands-managed land.

What to expect:

• A temporary power outage along the affected route within Callan Park (see below map)
• Light tree trimming to maintain required clearances from the high voltage electricity network
• Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs) operating throughout the work area
• Use of chainsaws and woodchippers
• Contractor vehicles and equipment in the vicinity of work sites
• Minor noise associated with tree pruning activities.

The plant and equipment required for the works will include Elevated Work Platforms, chainsaws and woodchippers.
