Notice of a proposed lease of Callan Park

Notice of a proposed agreement for lease and lease to RSL Lifecare Limited for use of a part of Callan Park

Pursuant to Section 6(6) of the Callan Park (Special Provisions) Act 2002 (NSW) (the Act) notice is given of a proposal to lease Buildings 220, 221, 222 and 222A in Callan Park.

As the consent authority, the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces would like to consider any written comments regarding the proposed agreement for lease and lease in accordance with Section 6 of the Act. 

The main terms of the proposed agreement for lease and lease are as follows:

  • The lease is for a not-for-profit health-focused program which supports veterans who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.
  • The agreement for lease and lease will be issued by the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust.
  • The agreement for lease and lease is between RSL LifeCare Limited and Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust.
  • A nominal rent is agreed between the parties and repairs & maintenance costs will be the responsibility of RSL LifeCare.
  • The lease term is ten (10) years.
  • The applicant will occupy the site following completion of the refurbishment works, in accordance with the agreement for lease.
